I'm happy to say that @StopKillingGames is against the age verification laws that are passing in various locations recently!

Games like Urban Dead are shutting down because they cannot comply with such laws, like the Online Safety Act, and this makes preservation projects harder to do legally, while requiring collection of personal sensitive data just to access something that shouldn't know your real identity.

Gamer's Voice along with 18 other civil society groups and companies including Mozilla, Open Rights Group, EFF, Proton, Mullvad VPN, Stop Killing Games have signed a letter arguing we need to address root causes of online harms, not place services behind age-gates.
