Sanders says state will build new $470 million prison, end parole for most violent offenses by 2025
Arkansas, already with the fifth highest incarceration rate in the country, plans to spend $470 million to add 3,000 prison beds and end parole for the most violent offenders, Gov. Sarah Sanders said at a press conference held Monday to announce long-awaited criminal justice overhaul legislation.
