Finished #JellyfishCantSwimInnTheNight . It’s a nice lively story about a bunch of characters that are somehow outcasts which made them very relatable for me, especially since there were a lot of scenes that showed their insecurity and struggles.Their interactions also felt quite genuine.
It was also visually a treat and on top of that, songs that are integrated in anime usually win me over easily. The last episode was honestly touching.

However, I feel fooled because the beginnings led me to believe that (unlike Euphonium) this would seriously follow the girls love route. In the end it’s the same game with a lot of subtext that goes nowhere.

Another season of #DemonSlayer finished. It gave some insight into some characters but most of the time it was just focusing on unnecessarily strict training for people who were not up to it…
At least my fears that they will just all gather around Nezuko to protect her didn’t come true.

And yeah, the last episode was a bit too much in terms of “impressive” visuals (actually I found myself overwhelmed, maybe a simpler visual presentation would have worked better there).

I know, don’t watch it if you don’t like it - but I want to know how it ends 😆

The ending of #HibikeEuphonium was nice. There were a few surprises in the last season, and overall the story was really good at handling complex believable characters and group dynamics. I often found myself wondering what would be the best course of action for Kumiko as the club leader, and usually unsure about it. I would have liked some surprises with an actual sapphic relationship but I already didn’t expect it so I’m not exactly disappointed…
Overall, the three school years in 3 seasons make for a rounded experience and I often get that I should rewatch it from the beginning again.

Finished #TrainToTheEndOfTheWorld.

That was one wild ride. I definitely admire how they just went wild and threw a bunch of scenarios and ideas together. You never quite knew what to expect next. I also liked the way the main characters could really debate what to do and criticize each other‘s behavior, showing that they know each other for a long time.
There were parts that went a bit over the top and it got a bit repetitive, but in the end I liked the overall story and how it ended.

Last anime that I already finished and forgot to write about is #BartenderGlassOfGod. Another show that was mostly relaxing, like a good cocktail but without getting drunk.
There was not much of a story here either and the characters weren’t so flashy, but it worked. Some bits were quite touching, too. The ending felt a bit forced and I kept thinking that people are pestering Sasakura too much about the hotel bar… I also would have liked the female bartenders to be a bit more in focus but I guess I’m glad they are there at all.
Overall another recommendation for some light-hearted relaxing anime watching.

Another food anime was #YuruCamp season 3. Of course, having watched and liked 2 seasons already there was no way this one could disappoint me.
It’s like a Japan trip without the air travel, vacation without getting up from the sofa. I will definitely not get tired of this if they continue to show the cast going camping until they’re old and grey (I know it sells because it’s cute girls but…).
It’s great that they already laid a foundation for things to happen next season. I’ll be waiting for it.

I’m late to post about it, but we finished #DeliciousInDungeon and I will miss it a lot. It had a unique mix of wholesome foodism and a kind of fantasy setting that is rare nowadays, paying detailed attention to different races and creatures. The characters are just a lovable bunch and it’s hard to say which I like most.
It’s got some serious moments but some scenes were also comedy gold.
Overall an extremely rounded experience and I cannot wait for the second half of it.
