@jackiegardina @jeffjarvis Twitter was of huge importance to the Arab Spring/Tahrir Square revolution. I began live-tweeting/amplifying as many voices as I could to help keep info flowing. It was incredible watching it all unfold in real time and Twitter quickly got #SpeakToTweet up and running to bypass internet shutdowns. Could mastodon do something like that?
