Spatacsin regulates directionality of lysosome trafficking by promoting the degradation of its partner AP5Z1
This study shows that spatacsin, a protein associated with a motor neuron disease, is an ER protein important for the formation of highly dynamic tubular lysosomes, by regulating association of its partners spastizin and AP5Z1 with lysosomes, highlighting a mechanism regulating lysosome trafficking.
