Soup Garden harvest today was some parsley, some leeks, and some of the three-cornered garlic that I'm attempting to discourage from spreading too much. It wasn't very much but still good to be putting something fresh and flavourful into the soup.

#SoupGarden

I rescued six bags of wet leaves for the #SoupGarden leafmould pile. Tired now.

I also harvested some chard and some three-cornered garlic, which the soup kitchen volunteers are incorporating into soup as I write this.

I ought to dig some potatoes -- it's forecast to get pretty cold later this week. But instead, I'm going to head home, and count on the London N4 microclimate to stop the ground from freezing before Thursday.

I had a grumpy day today and did not manage errands or phonecalls, both of which I kindof needed to.

I did, however, harvest some more potatoes from the #SoupGarden. The soup kitchen volunteers will turn them into soup.

I also finished mending a jumper.

@sarahbc Good stuff! I still need to figure out the #SoupGarden plans for our churchyard for 2023.
The #SoupGarden harvest today: leeks, chard, parsley, and some raspberries. In November. Yikes!

The #UnseenEnemy* has been digging things up again in the #SoupGarden so I guess I am re-planting broad beans today and giving them some protection.

I also need to continue prepping the greenhouse (a polytunnel really; I pulled it out of a skip) for winter/spring growing.

There are still spuds to harvest, too.

Tired now, and cycling to church tomorrow for our Renew Wellbeing space, some #SoupGarden bits and pieces, and -- hopefully -- a bit of composing. I hope the Tube strike doesn't make the traffic too bad.

Spent some time in the churchyard today, doing various #SoupGarden chores.

Threshed amaranth, brought the seeds inside to dry

Gathered the last of the French beans and used a needle to thread them onto a string and hang them up to finish drying inside, to save seed

Proppped up and pruned the perennial broccoli that fell over in the storm

Rescued the ten pepper plants I care about enough to try to overwinter, and put them inside

Planted out broad beans; they are leggy but might make it.
