20 and counting albums that have had an impact on who I am. One album a day for 20 days and then some. Might include explanations and reviews, always album covers. In some kind of order, or not

Day seventy-seven: LCD Soundsystem Sound Of Silver
#20albums20days #20albums #LCDSoundsystem #SoundOfSilver

„Sound of silver talk to me
Makes you want to feel like a teenager
Until you remember the feelings of
A real life emotional teenager
Then you think again“

Wenn ich nicht schon LCD Soundsystem Fanboy wäre, würden diese Zeilen mich unverzüglich dazu machen.

#433 LCD Soundsystem - Sound of Silver

I don’t know how I missed out on LCD Soundsystem. I would have been in college when this album came out. This album would have been my jam. I am glad that I found it now. All My Friends is a wonderful song that brings me back to my 20’s.

Highlights: New York, I Love You but You’re Bringing Me Down, North American Scum, Someone Great, and All My Friends.

Any #LCDSoundsystem fans here?

I've been listening to them since #SoundOfSilver, after initially not paying too much attention to the first album. That one and #ThisIsHappening are probably my favourite ones.

I managed to get the Long Goodbye box set last year (finally, thanks #DFA), but I'm a bit miffed that it's supposed to be played on two turntables. Not everyone has that option.

Anyway, I think my favourite recording of them is probably Movement from that box set:
