#Soulcrusher2025 addendum; special mentions for;
Darkher, captivating the audience with very dark, but beautiful folk.

The crowds; what a bunch of nice people cosplaying as angry metal heads 🖤 2 days of optimism disguised under a layer of dark music.

The venue; Doornroosje is top of the bill as far as venues go.

All my friends who were there; I love you all to bits, from all the crazy members of the Zes Losse Tanden community to the total strangers who I had good conversations with.

Can’t wait for 2026.

#Soulcrusher2025 1) But ofcourse, if you’ve been following me, the top spot can be only one band; Terzij De Horde.

They just released their new album the same day and presented it to the world with a violent commitment to the good cause that infected the crowd. It is quite impossible not to get swept up in the angry torrent of the #PostBlack / #PostHardcore they make. It is a miracle my head is still attached to my shoulders.

“Unlimited Power, Unlimited Danger.”

Charlotte Wessels provided guest vocals, which worked really well for a short moment of peace before launching in to a final sequence of face melting riffs. 🧵end

#Soulcrusher2025 2) Now the decission gets though, but after everything Blood Incantation just missed the top spot by no fault of their own. They delivered a mix of steam rolling death metal and mind-transporting psychedelic rock before a packed main stage. At parts I lost myself in the fury of the Ancient Aliens pure, undiluted death metal.

#Soulcrusher2025 3) Wyatt E. Where drone and doom meet Mesopotamian influeces, Wyatt E. delivered on a very good starter of the Saturday (coinciding with #Saturdoom). The Python-esque fake beards didn’t bother me and I was truly engulfed in the #doom and #drone.

(🧵3/5)

#Soulcrusher2025 4) Igorrr, this was a genuine surprise for me since the records didn’t really land. But if you can recreate the seeming chaos from the records live it truly shows your musical skills. Opera meets black metal meets electronica meets unhinged madness, I was all there for it!

Even decided then and there to go and see them again when they play in Utrecht.

(🧵2/5)

#Soulcrusher2025 5) Master Boot Record. Chiptune meets industrial meets a whole lot of old tech. Master Boot Record delivers a very nice show with a lot of energy.

A song from his other project Keygen Church was also played and that reminds me of the days where I’d just start a keygen (and maybe infect my PC) for the music.

I’ll be posting my #Soulcrusher2025 five in this thread, starting at number 5. (🧵 start)

Two days of #Soulcrusher have flown by! Now to get some sleep and travel back tomorrow! Will be posting highlights during the train journey back home (if not sleeping).

Soulcrusher 2025 is a go! If you want to spot me, find the dude with the white Amenra backpatch and the Metalhead.club patch on the front. Let’s meet up and have a beer (I’ll buy).

Slowly starting up the sunday with the hauntingly beautiful melodies from Darkher. I can’t wait to drown in the sorrow of her music live at Soulcrusher.
