If there is one temple in Thailand that might be of interest to the mountain community, it would be Wat Chaloem Prakiat, also known as the Sky Temple.
It is situated on a steep hill, with monuments scattered on various peaks. The first part to the ascent to the summit is by pickup truck (very steep and narrow road, so they do not want to have people driving there themselves. The last 150+ meters are by stairs.
On the summit it is serene, with every now and then a soft bong from one of the bells. The wind blows to small bells as well, making them ting.
Only from below you can see how apart the monuments are divided (from up top they seem so reachable).
