Dalla gioia promozione all’incubo doping. I pallavolisti Kristian Gamba e Simone Scopelliti – in forza alla Tinet Prata di Pordenone – sono stati sospesi per sospetto doping. La comunicazione è arrivata dal tribunale nazionale antidoping su richiesta della procura nazionale antidoping e il motivo riguarda la presunta violazione dell’articolo 2.1 del Codice sportivo antidoping. Vale a dire quello che riguarda la presenza di una sostanza vietata (o di suoi metaboliti o marker) all’interno dei campioni biologici degli atleti. In sintesi: è stata rilevata una sostanza proibita per la normativa attuale durante un controllo effettuato tramite urine o sangue.
I due giocatori hanno vinto due settimane fa il campionato di Serie A2 di pallavolo e hanno così conquistato la Superlega con la Tinet Prata di Pordenone. E sono stati entrambi sottoposti ai controlli disposti da Nado Italia. Va ricordato, specifica una nota, che nel sistema antidoping vale il principio della responsabilità oggettiva: l’atleta è responsabile di tutto ciò che viene trovato nel proprio organismo, indipendentemente dal fatto che l’assunzione sia stata volontaria oppure no, o che conoscesse o meno l’origine della sostanza“.
Sul tema è intervenuta anche la Tinet Prata di Pordenone: “In merito alla comunicazione della sospensione cautelare degli atleti Kristian Gamba e Simone Scopelliti da parte del Tribunale Nazionale Antidoping, Volley Prata attende quelle che saranno le decisioni degli organi preposti. In questi casi la responsabilità è personale dell’atleta e la società si augura che la situazione si possa risolvere al meglio. In merito a illazioni già circolate si ricorda che non sono in dubbio risultati sportivi acquisiti. Nel frattempo i due atleti hanno già iniziato l’iter necessario per sostenere le proprie ragioni nelle sedi opportune”.

The communication came from the National Anti-Doping Tribunal at the request of the National Anti-Doping Prosecutor, and the reason relates to the alleged violation of article 2.1 of the Anti-Doping Sport Code. That is, concerning the presence of a prohibited substance (or its metabolites or markers) within the biological samples of athletes. In short: a prohibited substance was detected during a test carried out through urine or blood.
The two players won the Serie A2 volleyball championship two weeks ago and thus secured the Superlega with Tinet Prata di Pordenone. And they were both subject to tests ordered by Nado Italia. It should be noted, specifies a note, that in the anti-doping system the principle of objective liability applies: the athlete is responsible for anything found in their body, regardless of whether the intake was voluntary or not, or whether they knew or did not know the origin of the substance.
Tinet Prata di Pordenone also commented on the issue: “Regarding the communication of the precautionary suspension of athletes Kristian Gamba and Simone Scopelliti by the National Anti-Doping Tribunal, Volley Prata awaits the decisions of the competent bodies. In these cases, the responsibility is personal of the athlete and the company hopes that the situation can be resolved to the best. Regarding rumors that have already circulated, it is noted that sporting results acquired are in doubt. In the meantime, the two athletes have already begun the necessary steps to defend their case in the appropriate venues.”
