I've lost family and friends to cancer, most people probably have. Happily, I also know people who've survived it. Mum died of cancer in 2021. She'd survived bowel cancer, but it returned in her kidney and she died on 10 October. This October, I'm walking Cardiff's 10km Shine Night to raise money for Cancer Research, in the hope that more people survive. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
