What's the most wild untouched place you've ever seen?
Me: flew over an Alaskan glacier in a tiny plane when I was 13. I don't remember what it looked like anymore, only that my 13 year old companion and I were both awed into dead silence. Two thirteen year old girls, not speaking. Must've been a hell of a view.
Inspired by today's WHAT THE @#$% moment - What's the most surprising success you've ever achieved?
Me: 86% on that @#$% discrete mathematics midterm. It was SO HARD, and this is the UK grading system where they don't even distinguish between any grades higher than 70%, 70% is Peak Academic Achievement. WT&???
What is your favorite thing you've ever made with your own hands?
Me: probably a fantasy wolf creature I sculpted from clay when I was about 10. That little guy had so much personality. He's long gone, but I had him on my shelf for a decade and I can still see him clear as day.
What's something you wish more people knew about you?
Me: The languages I'm learning, so that those who speak them would speak them with me. Right now I'm focusing mostly on Mandarin and trying not to let my Spanish and Russian atrophy. Once I get to a certain place in Mandarin I'm going to add some Hindi into the mix.
What's the cleverest line you've recently heard/read in a movie/book/game?
Me: I was just rewatching Ted Lasso S2 and there were a bunch just in the first couple of episodes, but I particularly liked "I shouldn’t bring an umbrella to a brainstorm."
What's the most interesting thing you've got planned for March?
Me: Gonna run a little tabletop-style closed ended storyline (about 3 sessions) for some newcomers to my #WoWClassic guild.
What made you happiest yesterday?
Me: For some reason, starting up a new game of Endless Space 2. Something about the UI and music in that game just really pleases me.
