Also, where's the Michael Shannon biopic on Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber? I mean, could anyone else do that role justice today?

Incidentally I have a made for TV movie of that from 1996 called Unabomber: The True Story, starring Tobin Bell as Kaczynski, and I'm aware there's a 2021 movie called Ted K starring Sharlto Copley as Kaczynski, distributed poorly by Neon. Neither are exactly household names and Ted K didn't do much business, though Unabomber's bigger names were Dean Stockwell and Robert Hays so I bet a few folks saw it on USA.

To put Kaczynski's story front and center would take a prominent actor like Shannon. You'd need someone to play the younger Kaczynski as well, to capture the cruel psychological experiment he underwent over three years, at Harvard. And you'd need a hell of a script, family approval, and a few miracles. The more I think about it, the more important that younger actor is. They might have to de-age Shannon for all the flashbacks.

I think you'd start with a play. Kaczynski in his cabin, about to be arrested, flashing back to his years of persecution in that psych experiment. #scriptideas
