Heh... So, I can't pull off a lot of #accents well -- except a #WWDITS vampire. I've butchered a lot other accents (as attested by my British ex). Though my Italian accent isn't too bad. I had fun speaking in #Latin with an Italian accent (but how else would it be spoken?). I also recited #HomericGreek in a sing-song accent with a touch of #Sanskrit ('cuz, #IndoEuropean). Does anyone else indulge in accents when they act out scenes? Does anyone else act out scenes?

@MediumWasTedium It's hard to come up with good fictional band names, but I've managed to come up with a few using things like literary references, playing off the lead singer's name, etc. What does your fictional band play? What is their most famous song?

2) I’m halfway through. I stop after reading a few chapters. They are short. Van Pelt is slowly weaving the threads of her characters lives together into a tapestry I don’t want to see finished too soon.

1) I’m reading “Remarkably Bright Creatures”. It’s delightful, although sometimes I think Shelby Van Pelt, the author (it’s her first novel), is trying too hard to follow the advice of her creative writing professor. But it is a heart-warming story filled with engaging, flawed, creatures, bright with promise, determined to make the most of their time on earth.
