PROTECT TYRE!

Right now, Israeli forces are rapidly advancing through Lebanon, and are dangerously close to Tyre, one of the oldest cities in the world. The city was established around 2750 BCE, and has been inhabited since then. I request someone with more power than me to make a call for an archælogical mission to map out Tyre (with drones or satellites, even on-scene cameras) as much as possible. Additionally, it should be advised that Lebanese military units don't dig in at the old city in Tyre. Lebanon needs to defend itself as much as possible here, and Israel needs to cease its hostilities immediately. If Tyre is to be severely damaged/destroyed by Israel, I will lose all remaining patience with Israel, and will have to equate them with ISIL, as this would be one of the most destructive events in the loss of heritage in human history, similar to how ISIL destroyed several important parts of Palmyra in Syria. #lebanon #tyre #excavation #preservation #war #israel #isil #savetyre #stopisrael
