Okay, here we go... some really good long 70s hair 👍 and Michael McDonald before he had white hair... A funny little intro bit with their equipment... First song, China Grove, with hot guitar solo... then check out that segue into Taking It to the Streets. I haven't watched this whole thing, but I might. It looks and sounds like a good concert.

This just showed up on my YouTube. And if you don't know this musician, and you're unsure: yes, that's German he's singing in.

Two incredible new uploads from the opening night of his 'Land of Hope and Dreams Tour' in Minneapolis on Bruce Springsteen's youtube channel from yesterday:

“Bird Song” - Gillian Welch/David Rawlings
(Brooklyn Bowl, Nashville, 4.3.26)

My mind and ears have gone on a journey this a.m. I think it started with thinking about TV shows I watched, growing up, that had musical guests. Then I found that Wikipedia lists all the guests that were on The Midnight Special, 1972 - 1981.
(That led me to watch several different performances, including less than a minute of Mac Davis "Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me." I couldn't stomach more than that... remembering how much my sister and I cringed when our mother said she thought he was sexy. Aagghh! That was the kiss of death for him, though we might have hated him anyway.)
I'm linking to this song because I really loved this album, and it's fun to see Ric Ocasek. (Note that at 2:28, some guy in white appears on the stage; I was, like, who is that? And I realize it's a camera operator. Part of the relaxed late 70s vibe?)
