Here's Fullerton's seminal #Mechanics live on Long Beach cable-access TV in the spring of 1979. The Mechanics were a group of stony Van Halen/UFO/Stooges fanatics who, back in 1977, decided on a lark to revamp their heavy set in DOUBLE TIME. Overnight, they became the Orange County band that #TheAdolescents' Rikk Agnew, #SocialDistortion's Mike Ness and even #AgentOrange's Mike Palm would try to emulate, before any of those cats had found their signature sounds.
