Parasite behind deaths of 5 bears at Smithers wildlife rescue, says society
Preliminary testing has revealed that the five bears who died at a northern B.C. wildlife rescue in Smithers last week were infected with the sarcocystis parasite, which is thought to be transmitted through an unknown host.
