Here are 3 that don't call cops:
Trans Lifeline translifeline.org
& see #SAFEHOTLINES
Call Blackline callblackline.org
NYC Samaritans
https://samaritansnyc.org/get-support/crisis-services/

Option - get to know your local crisis provider & put # in your phone in advance. Plan your crisis?

Following is unfortunate CTL work-around. Puts burden on those seeking help:

1. Unwanted intervention. If you're not having thoughts to end your life, you can text Crisis Text Line; or if you are but don't want cops, then don't "ladder up" when asked, which is not something I say lightly. This is wrong, but how it works. Still no guarantee.

2. Data. Text the word "DELETE" in its own text message, to request deleting the conversation from their data hoard.

These burdens should not be on people during crisis moments. Why I continue advocating. #988Lifeline also sends cops (I'm simplifying). They do not have uniform policies about data and I believe 988 is tending towards the data and "AI" forces, closely aligned with $.

@Saltchuler Let’s work together to make #SafeHotlines
for all Crisis Callers. #Trans #Lifeline #Hotline (US) 877-565-8860. No nonconsensual active rescue (calling 911, emergency services, or law enforcement).
