On 06 July 2022, the “Safe Homes” initiative was presented by Ylva Johansson, the Commissioner for Home Affairs. It centres around new guidance recommendations developed by the Solidarity Platform advising EU countries how to provide safe and suitable accommodation for people fleeing the war.
