I've been getting used to the #SteamDeck so slowly I considered returning it. But then I thought of Sacred 2, a game I enjoyed playing on console, and Steam had a bundle for sale. Today I finally was able to get into a game and have fun. There are downsides. It's older and not built with half blind players in mind. The UI is a little clunky and the minimap is useless, but still. It's great to be back in Ancaria. #sacred2remaster #gaming

Another gaming disappointment. Sacred 2 got a remaster on Steam and consoles, and as someone who really enjoyed the game in the past (Temple Guardian and his spiky monowheel o' doom forever) I was hopeful that it would at least play like the original but more stable.

According to the reviews, it is buggy and the UI/controls are a mess. I hope they patch this stuff but I'm not holding my breath.

Wenig überraschend habe ich mit #Linux / #CachyOS keine Probleme beim #Sacred2Remaster auf die Bildrate des Bildschirms zu kommen, anders als bei #Windows, wo ich nur etwa die Hälfte der FPS habe, wenn überhaupt.

Ich kann nur komischerweise nicht mit den typischen Umgebungsvariablen die Framerate begrenzen. Heißt also weder mit VKD3D_FRAME_RATE, DXVK_FRAME_RATE noch mit strangle.

Auf dem #SteamDeck, überhaupt nicht überraschend, läuft das #Sacred2Remaster deutlich besser, wenn auch nicht perfekt. Auch wenn ich mich frage, wie das Spiel kaum Ressourcen braucht, aber die kompletten 4 GB an VRAM.

#LuminesArise continues the long-running rhythm-puzzle series with a modern presentation and a few new mechanics.

#RueValley offers something slower and more reflective — a narrative RPG about memory, repetition, and identity. Its time-loop structure allows for quiet experimentation rather than action, supported by a striking visual style.

Finally, #Sacred2Remaster revisits the 2008 action RPG classic with updated visuals and interface improvements. It’s still very much the same open-world loot-driven experience, now easier to play on current systems.
