Eine Publikation der Biologischen und Zoologischen Fakultät der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Der Fokus liegt hierbei auf der Geschichte des Phyletischen Museums und dessen Gründer Ernst Haeckel.

Good evening - once more it’s #ReviewTime

This time it’s a film called Small Things Like These. Based on a book of the same name it tells the story of young ladies who had children out of wedlock in Southern Ireland.

These ladies were subject to inhuman abuse by the Catholic Church in Wexford (and subsequent research has found the practice widespread).

It’s gripping. It’s heart wrenching. At times slow moving and difficult to hear what’s said. But it’s a must watch.

Good evening - it’s #ReviewTime (again). This time it’s a streaming series on #WalterPresents called ‘You Shall Not Lie’. Hopefully, there is no second season

It was utter tripe. A case of poor script & dreadful overacting, it takes the p**s. It leaps all over the place. The story is a teacher called Macarena shags a student who along with her husband gets killed by Macarenas daughter & her friend respectively. Oh, Macarena gets pregnant by the student & the killers aren’t caught

Dieses Buch ist das Ergebnis, wenn sich einer der Zoologen mal ernsthaft lange und ausführliche Gedanken über eine philosophische Idee und deren Bedeutungen, Interpretationen und Konsequenzen macht. Alle Beiträge in diesem Buch sind zuvor als monatliche Kolumne zwischen 1973 und 1977 im Natural History Magazin erschienen. „Ever Since Darwin“ ist quasi die gebundene Gesamtausgabe seiner Beiträge.

Im looking series 2 now. Alma is written by the main character #SophieWillan whose personal life seems a little colourful!

Script is great, some very good performances from regulars, such as #SiobhanFinneran & #LorraineAshbourne & #NicholasAsbury

Just watch it - you won’t be disappointed

Tonight it’s about a streaming show called ‘The Silence’, set in #Croatia & #Ukraine and can be found on #WalterPresents

It’s quirky, interesting plot lines and in places some good acting. Sadly the screenplay lets it down, it relies a bit on soviet style acting methods by two characters and flips about a bit.

If you miss this programme in all its glory, no need to curse yourself.
