Reveal Party is the fantastically named indie rock/dream pop project headed by singer-songwriter Emily Holm Nyhuus. Nyhuus’ vulnerable vocals and achingly honest lyrics about her experiences with love and life as a trans woman go straight to the heart, carried by a sonic emotional delivery system that leans heavily on Midwest emo.

Our next spotlight is on number 0c on The List, submitted by eva.

Reveal Party is the fantastically named indie rock/dream pop project headed by singer-songwriter Emily Holm Nyhuus (she/her). And, according to the notes on the Bandcamp, it sounds like this album is a compilation of 3 previously released EPs, presumably each part representing an EP:

• Part I: You’re My Favourite Person – I Love You (Tracks 1-6)
• Part II: You’re My Favourite Person – I Hate You (Tracks 7-11)
• Part III: You’re My Favourite Person – Don’t Leave Me (Tracks 12-19)

Unfortunately I can’t confirm the EP thing because they aren’t on Discogs, perhaps unsurprisingly because this album also wasn’t on Discogs when it was added 2 years ago to The List. Which is ridiculous, more people need to know this band/artist and everything she releases. Nyhuus’ vulnerable vocals and achingly honest lyrics about her experiences with love and life as a trans woman go straight to the heart, carried by a sonic emotional delivery system that leans heavily on Midwest emo. It’s an incredibly gorgeous album. It made me feel all the feelings. I loved it.
