Who wins a cookie for predicting this as the next obvious step in musical degradation?

G'wan now, Relax!
You know you wanna!
Gimme Those Laser Beams!
#ResurrectedRecordPlayer #NowPlaying #45rpm #FrankieGoesToHollywood
Time to enter the Bazaar of the Bizarre!
The #ResurrectedRecordPlayer has had the belt moved to 45rpm. Things are going to get seriously 80's weird!!
Kicking off in style(???)...
Soft Cell
Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go
I have serious issues with the dichotomy between the cover art style and the EP label style BTW.
Sorry, Not Sorry for pointing that out if you hadn't noticed ๐
These are very scary levels of good. Like 'slap myself to stop from grabbing another' level of good! ๐คฏ
I have inhaled three in much too short a time period. And yes, they were Very Adult. So here we are... โ๏ธ๐คฏโ๏ธ
That's likely good news for those that haven't stomped the #ResurrectedRecordPlayer tag into oblivion yet. I no longer possess the fine motor skills to operate complex machinery like the Spin-Clean or completely manual turntable.
More 180g stuff. Kickin' it with Tesla!
Tesla
Psychotic Supper
Universal Music - 1991/2016(Geffen) US pressing - 2 LP - 180g vinyl
I need something more Live-ly. This will do and it's unopened! It's first play time!
Grand Funk
Live Album
Capitol - original release 1970, 180g re-release 2016 - US pressing(?)
Verdict: most live albums aren't worth the effort of a premium pressing. Usually muddy, unbalanced sound with a poor 'spread' of sound. This one is surprisingly very good, especially considering the 1970 original press. Some nice jamming and crowd interaction
OK. I have a number of Echo and the Bunnymen LPs. I must have really liked them right? Let's see if it has stuck.
Echo and the Bunnymen
Ocean Rain
Korova/WEA 1984 - Canadian pressing
Verdict: Yeah, ok. But not really right now
Here's another one I really don't remember that well (if at all to be honest). I remember the band and also remember liking the first album.
Band formed in Vancouver in 1982. First album was Worlds Away which got a lot of attention in Canada at the time.
Let's see about 2wo. ๐ค
Strange Advance
2wo
Capitol Records 1985 (Canadian pressing)
Judgement: this is a big nope from me. They should have stopped at 1ne.
After two albums that I at least vaguely remember it's time for What The Heck Have I Got Here?
Heads In The Sky ๐ค
Short lived band from Oak Ridges, Ontario headed by Russ Walker. A 1979 EP and then this album in 1981.
Heads In The Sky
Heads In The Sky
Illuminated Records 1981 (Canadian pressing own label)
Time for a nice drive! Vroom!
Kraftwerk
Autobahn
Phonegram/Polydor 1974 (Canadian pressing)
