I decided to watch Netflix's #ReplacingChefChico because I adore #Filipino cuisine and was looking forward to a drama set in a high-end Manila restaurant. But the thing that's kept me watching is actually the language stuff? I had no idea they switched between Filipino and English so much! I also keep hearing bits of Spanish, but as I don't speak Filipino, it's hard for me to know whether those bits are actually Spanish or pre-incorporated as part of the Filipino language. TOTALLY fascinating.
@aram : Asian shows tend to be monochromatic (just not pure white monochromatic), but other than that, that's where I usually find what you're talking about. I particularly recommend #ReplacingChefChico ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Replacing_Chef_Chico ), The Makanai aka #MaikosanChinoMakanaisan ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Makanai:_Cooking_for_the_Maiko_House ), and #Quartet ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quartet_(Japanese_TV_series) ), all available on Netflix since I'm not sure what you have access to.

🇵🇭 It is no secret that I have a fondness for Filipino TV... and for food dramas. So you can imagine how delighted I am to report that the first Filipino Netflix original, #ReplacingChefChico, is an absolute gem ! And for me to say this about a show that includes a romance should really tell you something.

Once upon a time (uni), I was classmates with a vibrant, creative, budding director. I even consulted with them once. I'm so happy they are doing so well in the entertainment industry. Their new #Netflix TV serial #ReplacingChefChico is well-seasoned, well-researched, well-rehearsed, and well done. The cast is well chosen, the script and shots are tight. Ang sarap panoorin ng bagong palabas ng #project8productions. Pagpupugay kay classmate #TonetJadaone! ♡ https://fugitives.com/replacing-chef-chico-review-2023-netflix-filipino-drama-series/
