This is really bad. The BBC are censoring Reith Lectures now on behest of Donald Trump?!
The lecture was about this sort of censorship - they cut the line “the most openly corrupt president in American history” and the lecture went on to discuss that.
The Reith Lectures are really important academic lectures, they are inviolable and uphold the ideals of Lord Reith who ran the BBC as an early Director General and his ideas of informing and educating the audience became a core tenet of the BBC.
This isn't some minor lecture. It's the key one of the whole year.
