I was actually looking for the recent release by #MeikoKaji (see the post I just boosted) & got sucked into the amazing selection of #WeWantSounds re-releases. Kept myself to three CDs, but 2 were only available on CD... meanwhile, enjoying Alice Clark’s phenomenal music. While a bit different, some of it reminded me of a party at a Motown-record collector's, that a blizzard turned into a lock-in.

It seems to be the day for getting around to things. When I went to the cart on that online site to buy "Playground" by #CamilleBertault & #DavidHelbock , I found that I'd left Michel Benita's "Looking At Sounds" sitting in the cart for weeks and weeks and weeks. I was listening to a broadcast of Linda Fredriksson's concert at the Sparks & Visions Festival last month and then just up & ordered this on Bandcamp (the CD arrives in due course). Fredriksson is one of several musicians lately whose CD's I'm buying after listening to their concert broadcasts. Spacing out my purchases a bit (though I'm tempted to just order 'em all at once!)

Like I was going to buy "Strange Lands" and not buy this CD featuring Nicole Glover on saxophone? Such a satisfying thump when the postman dropped the package from JazzMessengers (in Barcelona) through the mail slot. George Colligan was on half of "Strange Lands", so this'll be an interesting comparison.
