Does Halifax need a 'rat czar'?
Halifax didn't act on a staff recommendation from 2017 to form a team that would be responsible for improving rodent management in the city. A U.S. professor who researches urban rats says all large cities should have staff dedicated to the problem.

I have to admit to being fascinated by #rats. This series on #NewYorkCity rats in #NYT (which I get for free thru my library) is a cornucopia of rat stories! Like, “It was a dual horror situation of cool teenagers making fun of you, and a rat on your foot.” #KansasCity had a sort of #RatCzar years ago.
