As a player to tore us apart so many times we hated him. For England and Great Britain we were thankful he was on our side. As a man of 5' 5" he stood amongst giants. He was an inspiration to us all and we will be greatly missed. Thoughts and best wishes to all his family and friends. #RIPRob #riprobburrow

As someone who lost his mother to #MND I know only too well what a horrible disease it is for a family to endure.

Rob Burrow (and Kevin Sinfeld) did a lot to raise the issues around it and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for the way they brought it to the fore.

My deepest sympathies are with his family and all those Rob leaves behind.
