It got scared by me taking photos. Then a male blackbird chased it away. Boo to those crappy invasive birds annoying the natives.

A somewhat wind ruffled tūī (#Prosthemadera novaeseelandiae) sits on a branch above a stream and looks for its next adventure. This one has been making a racket in the trees for the past week. Hopefully it is after the bountiful kōwhai trees in bloom and will stay around.
