There was an unofficial statement a while back about 6 teams for the inaugural Project 8 season.

They've now confirmed it.

Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto are mentioned in the release.

The 4th one is in Atlantic Canada.

Can't wait to find out where teams 5 and 6 are!

I was hoping that the league would meet their target of 8 teams, but 75% would be a good start (and there's still time).

Now that I’ve had a nap and a jog, I’ve processed the bow out of the #CanWNT and have some thoughts

1. Hats off to the #matildas. They rose to moment and earned everything they got. All the best going forward to the remaining host nation in the #WWC2023

2. That third goal against was painful to watch

3. It’s obvious if #Canada wants to improve, we need to come out and support #Project8

4. After the Olympic qualifiers against the #ReggaeGirlz, CSA may need to get a new voice for the women

Third franchise for the new Canadian professional #WoSoc league has just been announced: AFC Toronto City.

It's no surprise that Toronto is in the mix. It was just a question of who.

They join Vancouver and Calgary as announced franchises for the 2025 launch.

My question is if Toronto will be the closest to where I live (and thus my default team to cheer) or if something closer will materialize.

Any bets on the 5 remaining teams?
