Predatory Sparrow group previously hacked Iran’s state-owned Bank Sepah has also hacked Iran’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Nobitex and destroyed $90M. The stolen crypto included bitcoin, ethereum, doge, ripple, solana, tron, and ton.

The funds were drained from platform wallets into addresses bearing anti-government messages explicitly referencing Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and were burner wallets β€” strongly suggesting the money was intentionally destroyed, not stolen for profit.

Hacker group Predatory Sparrow claims (not verified) to have taken down Iran’s Bank Sepah. Reports from inside Iran indicate β€œwidespread banking disruptions” with several Bank Sepah branches closed on Tuesday, and customers told they were unable to access their accounts.
