More Sandwell Council analysis incoming!

Here the way Sandwell is basically a population divided neatly in two by voting results will be shown -- overall the vote share is Labour (36%) and Reform (38%) which suggests the wards were tight but there are virtually no "this ward was a marginal result which could have gone either way" results.
It's Reds vs Blues, East vs West, DC vs Marvel.

( note: despite using a Lenovo tablet for eaiser typing, Google-Android futz with my stuff, so even typing on scrabble size keys, it plays up and miskeys, thus wasting my time ... )

Just heard (on BBCRadio) that West Brom Council was won by Reform in May but the polling and results that I see does not say that.

Andy Burnham wins Makerfield by-election for Labour

Andy Burnham (Labour and Co-operative) won the Makerfield by-election on Thursday 18 June 2026 with 54.8% of the vote (24,937). Robert Kenyon (Reform UK) finished second on 34.5% (15,696). Rebecca Shepherd (Restore Britain) third on 6.8% (3,111). Michael Winstanley (Conservative) 2.2%, Sarah Wakefield (Green) 0.7%, Jake Austin (Liberal Democrats) 0.4%. Turnout 58.75% on an electorate of 76,641. Labour majority of 9,241 votes (20.3 percentage points).
