@dansup - i have a Pixelfed federation question (before opening a bug report).
I have a new user on punk.photos.
She wants to follow her friend on pixelfed.social.
On punk.photos she sees 0 pictures but on Pixelfed.social are 158 posts. (And of course the number of followers is wrong, which is a known problem)
Is there any way an account can be "re-federated" / reloaded? Is there a worker which does the magic?
@dansup for new users, if they don't understand the federation problem, it will feel like punk.photos is broken and not working.
That's why I got this complaint from the user right after registration.
I really hope there is a script or a way to get the data from your Pixelfed.social to our instance.
And i know they can search for the original post but that's not a good UX.

Das geht sogar nicht mal bei anderen Pixelfed servern....
mal schauen was dieser #pixelfedbug jemals behoben wird.
Pixelfed ist eigentlich cool, aber leider steckt der main-Entwickler seine Zeit lieber in loops 🙄
Ich bin auch ziemlich frustriert und rate den Leuten meistens dazu, sich lieber für Mastodon zu entscheiden, obwohl ich selber #pixelfedadmin bin und gerne mehr User hätte. Aber sowas bringt leute vom Fediverse weg, nicht hin!
