A new series of #PilgrimSky articles starting up today: worldbuilding! And this one is a map of the major features of the setting:
in Part 3, Skye must cope with the perils of success, as well of the perils of peril. let’s hope her Armour, the Pyroclasm, is up to the job.
Not going to lie, I’m very proud of both of these (with @vyr’s editing, from https://nanoswarm.space/fiction/swordpoint/)
just published the next part of my short story "Swordpoint", in which our merc Pilot Skye gets more questions than answers
@millenomi put together a beautiful new public site for #PilgrimSky, our shared queer mecha adventure setting, so i'm working on a new short piece set in the Spiral to celebrate
this one's about a mercenary Pilot who's about to get out of her depth, and into someone else's https://nanoswarm.space/fiction/swordpoint/
next part in a day or two!
Idea I had in passing for https://nanoswarm.space/ — clean up some of the #PilgrimSky worldbuilding stuff as one-offs while I work on the ever-slow setting guide. I’ve been thinking about the Coast of Stars a lot…
(You may notice there’s a Fiction heading, because it was something I wanted to have in the back pocket, adding entries under headings other than Fiction.)
One last thing: in #PilgrimSky, notionally thousands of years from present day, it is canon that fansubs still exist*:
*because the capitalist incentive systems that give birth to fansubs are still real.
