No longer doing #PhoneSolarChallenge , having topped out at 235 days, but the sunrise is still often worth a photo!

So, we didn't make Day 236 of #PhoneSolarChallenge as the phone shut down at 7.46 pm yesterday (later than predicted, but not by much!). Still, much learned about how to conserve energy, and the conclusion is... Need more solar panels!!

Looking like Day 235 of #PhoneSolarChallenge will be the last. All batteries out, a foggy day in prospect, and 7% charge predicted to last only until early afternoon...

A bit of sunshine yesterday meant we... Made it to Day 234 of #PhoneSolarChallenge (just) but the cloudy start this morning makes me doubtful we'll get much further. #KeepingEverythingCrossed

So Day #233 of #PhoneSolarChallenge dawns and I am down to the last 2%, with only what I managed to scrape yesterday in the last battery. I am guessing this could be sayonara... But managed to get a nice predawn photo (the circular feature is the rear subscreen of phone... Wonder if I can turn it off to save energy?)

Just as I have emptied the last battery and thinking Day 232 will be the last of #PhoneSolarChallenge the sunrise looks like this, and despite the wind, there could be charging!

Hmm, storm clouds gathering and wind getting up as Storm Bram approaches... Prospect of any sunshine on Day 231 of #PhoneSolarChallenge seems low.

Apparently there is going to be some sunshine later, but does not seem to likely on Day 230 of #PhoneSolarChallenge just have to hope the rain holds off and the thermonuclear fireball makes an appearance...

Solid grey skies for Day 229 of #PhoneSolarChallenge and not much prospect of charging... Maybe I should get a wind turbine as well (then again, not windy either!).

Hooray for the weekend! A definitely non-early start to Day 228 of #PhoneSolarChallenge but despite the gathering rain, just enough light to keep charging!
