#PeerTubeAMA Are there any plans for proper, built-in live chat?

(not plugin, built in - that's important)

I know there's plugin from John Livingstson. Don't get me wrong, it's a whole lot better than nothing, but its integration is poor (accesibility features are lacking, no chat in fullscreen mode (unless you embed the chat manually into your livestream), no synchronization of livestream record and chat (same), moderation features are rudimentary (no rate limits, for example), authorization/authentication is non-existent, etc, etc), and, honestly, converse.js just... ugh. UX is just not that great. It feels tacked-on. We have a lot of complaints.

Moreover, there's no reason to have live streams and not have live chats.

Can we have a proper built-in chat on the roadmap?
