They have a two-mode navigation system: satellite #GPS and inertial #INS. #Paveway_IV is the most modern version of the aerial bomb in the #Paveway family. The aerial bomb entered service with the #Royal_Air_Force in 2008.
The maximum range is more than 30 km. Its weight is 230 kg. #Paveway_IV carriers are #Eurofighter_Typhoon, #F_35, #Panavia_Tornado, and #Harrier_II fighters. The bombs also fit the #F_16.
Hanse MinaBritain will send #Ukraine #Paveway IV laser-guided bombs as part of its latest military aid package, according to reports.
The Paveway IV carries a 500 pound high explosive warhead and uses GPS and laser guidance to achieve high levels of accuracy.
The bombs could either be fitted to the US-made F-16 fighter jets that are set to arrive in months, or its older soviet-era planes.
