By that point, the person had decided it eas obviously just easier to agree to have #PatrolOfficers come to their residence rather than attempt to meet elsewhere for making a police report.

Again, a report of a #crime, the sort of thing that the #CriminalCode covers. The sort of thing civilians like us assume #police to be keenly interested in.

I discovered this by calling to find out where to take someone who wished to report a #crime.

Because the incident had already happened (not ongoing), I did not call #911. Instead, I called the #police non-emergency line.

When I got through to a person, they said no staff at #PoliceStations can take a complaint. Only #PatrolOfficers can do that.

I didn't think to ask why we have police stations in #Edmonton if they can't serve the public on-site, but it does seem odd.
