ContrarianI'm not sure why Mom was opposed to #DnD at first, because the #SatanicPanic hadn't started in earnest yet. #PatriciaPulling wasn't even "bothered about Dungeons & Dragons" yet!
The closest thing to a reason to worry was probably the 1979 #MazesAndMonsters #urbanlegend, which was unfortunately local to us in Michigan. (Mom was always too influenced by media panic; she refused to get a personal computer in our home because she thought I'd become a hacker!)
