Last Saturday Pick of the Pops on BBC Radio 2 today with Mark Goodier. Moves to Sundays from 4 May. POTP moved to current time slot 4 April 2009 when Dale was presenting. It had previously been on Saturday afternoons 1997-2004 with Fluff then Dale #radio #POTP

- Elisia Fiorillo on "Who found who". Talent!

- "What do you want to make those eyes at me for" over a century old?! Even older than Shakey?!

- "Always on my mind", the best Christmas number one of the late 1980s?

- Warren G and The Prodigy on Radio 2? Not played in 1996.

- "Step by step", "Un-break my heart", utter soul classics.

- Haven't heard that Dunblane song in years. Or want to hear it again.

- "2 become 1", the third best Spice Girls number one of 1996.

Reflections remains an absolutely amazing record. #PickOfThePops #PotP
'Our Gambo' was OK on BBC Radio 2's Pick Of The Pops but that style of show really benefits from more conversational elements as evident when someone/anyone took over from him when he was on holiday. Plus Gambo freely admitted it was the sort of thing he could do in his sleep without much in the way of prior research. Arguably a waste of a talented presenter given his extensive capabilities. #POTP

Glenn Medeiros on Pick of the Pops, with "Nothing's gonna change my love for you".

As much as I don't like drippy ballads, this one has a certain innocent charm. Very pleasant in small doses.

Glenn sung this live on Top of the Pops, and then was ambushed by a cake.

Definitely-forgotten T'Pau single (I Will Be With You). #POTP #BBCRadio2
Brilliant key change. #POTP #BBCRadio2
Possibly the second-best Hazell Dean tune. #POTP #BBCRadio2
The Communards, being not-so-quietly subversive. #POTP #BBCRadio2
