PeterI just went searching for the age of my Fluke 8020B multimeter. It turns out it was made in 1981 — which fits, as I was issued it brand new in 1982.
The Fluke replaced my Master Instruments APO No. 3 analogue multimeter — that they wouldn't let me keep 😢
The Fluke still holds pride of place in the toolbox I was issued in 1976, but it's going to need to be replaced soon.
One of the posts I read while hunting around said "...my granddad gave me the meter before he passed away ..."
Now I feel **REALLY** old. 😢🤣
