A lovely riverside camp spot. I had oodles of time, so prepared my firewood, finding something hard, stripping all the wet bark, and splitting into nice small pieces. It burnt easily.

Someone told me rain was coming so I set up the tarp to give sheltered outside space.

I was worried the river could rise in the night, so I placed a sequence of 3 rocks at increasing heights, I could peek out the tent to assess any height increase. All fine.

And I saw an otter!
