the next big milestone is developing an s3-compatible storage server and plugging it into venti, then plugging it into an #OFFSystem clone that stores its blocks directly in venti.

idk exactly how i want to handle score replication. OFF will have some replication ability of its own, but it would ideally be mediated by a process that both venti and OFF can talk to.
