On Thursday October 9, I'll be abseiling 150 feet (45.72 meters) from the roof of Croke Park to raise funds for Sightsavers Ireland supporting World Sight Day.
Globally, 2.2 billion people live with visual impairment. Nearly half of these cases could be prevented or treated with the right care. Since its foundation, Sightsavers has supported more than 11 million sight-restoring operations, helping people regain their vision, independence, and opportunities.
I’m taking on this challenge with Ocuco to help Sightsavers continue its important work. Any donation will support treatment and surgeries for children and adults in countries across the Global South, giving them the chance to see more clearly and live more independently.
