I'm really not a Feng Shui follower but once in a blue Moon I find myself idly looking at the "rules" and it always strikes me that no matter what item you wish to place in a room it seemingly needs to be able to "see the door". They can't *all* have a good view of the door matey.
I bet even the door needs to have a clear view of the door.
