ScouseGitLet's be clear: pardoning Trump must never be an option. You don't "heal the country" by pardoning the guy who caused the divisions—and providing him more opportunity to do the same.
I think it would be a terrible mistake to pardon Trump for his crimes. Here’s why:
—Presidential/Gubernatorial pardons should be for miscarriages of justice; pardoning anyone for political reasons is clear corruption.
—There need to be consequences for his actions.
—We need to deter others from committing similar crimes while in public office.
—He would renege on any deal made in return for the pardon.
—Pardoning him would encourage him to commit further crimes.
