@antijingoist @internetarchive @newtontalk I haven't tried to make a book in a long time, but I vaguely recall that #Bookmaker (http://www.unna.org/view.php?/apple/development/Bookmaker) produced simpler #AppleNewton #books using plain-text input with simple formatting (markup?), while #NewtonPress (http://www.unna.org/view.php?/apple/software/NewtonPress) allowed for creation of much more feature-filled books. It certainly is annoying that books had to be made for the specific device size & orientation. :(
