[READ-MORE]First, the food: The DM: (Me)Preparing:What I wore to DM: Close-up of hat: During Play: Character creation. From left to right: My partner, Shawn, his sister, my sister-in-law Kim, Katy, and her partner Claudio using D&D beyond on laptops to create their randomly rolled characters. Characters were created by: Roll a d100 for species Roll a d100 for class Each subclass for each class had a die assigned to them to roll for subclass (level 6) characters. For example, if a player rolled a 26 for a wizard, they would then roll a D20 for which school/blade singer/etc. Roll a d20 for a flaw roll a d20 for a random accent From left to right: My partner Shawn, my sister-in-law Kim and Katy. In this photo, my partner describes how his character looks. He rolled a halfling Cleric with the flaw: "I am fully convinced I am a cat and believe fully that I am feline and so behave exactly like a cat." He called his character Presti - Digitation and is describing his cat collar with a bell and a leather helmet with cat ears and the fact his character had a very poorly made, sort of pin-the-tail-on-the-halfling cat tail on his pants. Explaining the map: A map on a table being pointed at. It shows several gravel paths, rocks, and wood pole walls. This was the setting for a Snowball battle royale. Kim's character, a Kenku monk, won the snowball game, but everyone was not blessed by the rolling gods and ended up rolling poorly, so they took a long time to get through this. Next, they battled a massive Gingerbread man, but by that time, we all sort of had lost the plot, and it broke down to good food, good drinks, and good fun. Kim had to go home to check on her puppers, and we spent the night talking I showed Katy literally everything like a kid trying to share all their hobbies before they had to go home.
