This is extraordinary, and really once again shows that Parliament is not fit for purpose.

You can get thrown out of a debate for correcting someone else's dodgy statistics, but if you spout dodgy statistics, then the system protects you.

And not the first time this has happened, either.

@aegir I live in a Lib Dem/Labour marginal and our local MP #NeilCoyle had the Labour whip withdrawn for drunken and racist behaviour, recently Starmer restored it so Labour have lost my vote; I can vote LibDem without worrying about a Tory showing up
