Flutterbys! As well as this peacock there were tortoiseshell and possibly a painted lady? Fluttered by too fast. #NatureTootSupplemental
More bloody deer on our evening amble; maybe the same ones, but a bit nearer for a better pic, for our #NatureTootSupplemental. Also, jackdaws. Thousands of em.
More spawn! A #NatureTootSupplemental with not only spawn but the causes of spawn! This was in a puddle, effectively, hope it hangs around until tadpole time
One for #NatureTootSupplemental, and another entry in our seemingly endless collection of terrible #Nature photography, a buzzard flew across our path, onto a branch and then, as we tried to get a pic, flew off again. Earlier a lady walking with her dog told us she had seen a massive avian evacuation of the woods before spotting a large raptor, wonder if it was the same one.
Bonus #Nature spot from work this afternoon; took down a poster from the wall outside the canteen and found this fancy fellow underneath: a harlequin, according to the entomology imp in our mobile telephone #NatureTootSupplemental
Tried to get a few #nature pics this afternoon, spotted a sparrowhawk, a few deer, some pied wagtails; the lake by the motorway, usually full of coots, geese, various ducks and gulls was frozen and deserted apart from these swans walking on the ice

A #NatureTootSupplemental from this afternoon: roe deer on the poorly fenced off lagoon area
Some more #Nature spots from this evening - greylag geese on the river, mushrooms in the woods: also spotted (but not photographed for various reasons) roe deer, grey squirrel, incongruous heron, jackdaw murmuration and a bloody kingfisher. Magnificent

Top fox spot this evening; always a joy; forgot to mention some spots from last few evenings which included a tawny owl, interesting ducks and a little egret. Pictures aren’t great. But when did that ever stop us?

Today’s extra #Nature spot, saw plenty of skylarks and linnets and stuff, but this buzzard always a great spot #NatureTootSupplemental
